So far we haven't floated away!

Was only an advisory not an Alert. The "surge" (was just a few cms) hit this morning. Thankfully nothing worse. We even faired better than most of the west cost of the US

We are very lucky.

There is still an advisory up but nothing more ( at this point) is expected.

Thank God it wasn't as bad as originally speculated for the west coast, I'm glad all you folks in BC and west coast are OK

I have been watching CNN all day and it is horrendous the carnage that has happened

The weather man on CNN said early on that there was a possibility of an 8 ft wave headed to the west coast, but later in the day, they updated that and said that the Tsunami was directing towards South America

I did see that a California man was washed out to sea while taking pictures of the large waves as a result of the quake/Tsunami

It is horrible to see the devastation in Japan. So sad.
