Tsum Tsum Advent Calendar Question

I was thinking about getting one of these for my son this year, the plastic play set kind, not the plushes. The ones I’m finding when I search are mostly the 2016, 2017, and 2018 versions on Amazon. Do they not release a new version every year? Or, is it still too early to buy this year’s version? Anyone know when they’re released and about how much they cost?

Pretty sure Tsum Tsum (advent calendars) are a thing of the past. We had the advent calendar a few years ago and I have not seen one since.

I got ours from Target and I have not seen them stock it since that year. We had one 2 years in a row. It's a shame, because they are really fun and cute.

Important Tsum Tsum update : I ordered the 2018 version from Amazon. I was torn between that and the 2016 version that had a few characters I wanted, but the Toy Story characters and Zero playing the role of Rudolph won out. Then I found someone on eBay selling the complete 2016 collection minus the actual calendar for a fraction of the price, so I bought that as a “booster pack” to the first one I bought. That gave me the bright idea that I could continue to dole out play set characters in my kids’ advent calendars for years to come and build our own super Tsum Tsum display if I didn’t limit myself to the ones included in the three (I think) versions of the calendar that were released. I went searching for the Cheshire Cat and found someone selling him along with all the Christmas accessories from the 2017 version for $7. I bought it, and now we’re all set to build the biggest, bestest, Tsum Tsum Christmas display in all the land. As a reminder, this is all for my kids and is not about me and what I want in the least.
