January 3: Starting Jan. 3, the third track of Toy Story Midway Mania will be closed for a period to accommodate the needed construction. The original two tracks of the ride will undergo a closure as well in a few weeks time, which will be followed by a full closure of the attraction to accommodate the final changes that need to be made before Toy Story Land opens.

February 6: FastPass reservations will not be available from April 9th through May 7th 2018. This is likely when the ride will be reduced in capacity to just one track. The standby line will be the only way to gain admittance to the attraction during this period.

Could May 7 - June 30 be the "Full Closure" period until Toy Story Land opens?

That’s how I would read it. Originally I had a thought that maybe TSL was going to open early and they decided to go down to just one track instead of total closure, but now, I would guess total closure. 6 weeks is pretty long for it to be down with DHS as it is right now though.

I’m not thrilled that we’re in the stby only period but it will hopefully be better than closed (although the stats that EasyWDW published about how many people 1 track can accommodate are not encouraging).

Sounds like they will close it down completely prior to opening.

Bummer.....We will be there 6/16 to 6/21 and I can't change my dates.

This is my biggest fear!! I want my toy story loving kid to ride it, I mean give me at least the standby only option!! I really hope they don't close it down for the whole time from May til June opening. :/
