Just a note - we rode TSMM from the single rider line. We waited about 30 minutes for them to get through 10 people. The problem was that everyone was asked if they minded sharing their car.

At one point the cars left the start with 5 empty seats! The only other place I've used single rider is Universal in FL - and they don't ask you are just placed. I thought the whole idea was to fill every seat?

Just venting . . . I was also surprised at how many people said they minded!

I was grateful to the teenage girl I rode with - she and I had fun! I appreciated her family allowing me to join them. She even found the easter egg thanks to a fellow rider - and beat her brother's score!

They have never asked other parties if we could ride with them when we've done the SRL at TSMM. But we've waited about the same amount of time so we just go thru the line now so we can ride together.

The two times I rode they asked people. I didn't mind. The first time through I rode with a fun 20-something guy who pretended to flirt with me, LOL. Second time through I was with a pre-teen, and I was glad to know that his parents knew a stranger was riding with him and were OK with it.

I think it's one thing to go on Screamin', where you're practically pinned down, and have a stranger next to you, vs on TSMM...I know I wouldn't like to be alone with someone I felt was creepy...it's a long ride, you feel alone sort of, and there's just that lap bar.

We have never been asked if we minded having a single rider join us... I just figured that if you have an empty seat you were automatically assigned one to ride with you. Thanks for the tip. I will remember that when they want to give me a creepy person...

I must say that i have seen LOTS of completely empty ride vehicles leave the platform. Not sure why, but when you have just waited in a line, you kinda get a little irritated..

I wondered why i saw empty seats leaving when we were in the single line at TSMM. After not moving one inch in 4 - 5 minutes, Alec & i bailed on the single line & got in the regular line.

I agree with Tink Sassy....I think they should fill the seats (or dump the single rider line altogether).

hound <---hates seeing empty seats on attractions with long lines. I always loved riding single rider on ski lifts (where they always filled the seats).....got to meet people from all over the country (& world). :thumbsup2

(& I thought all the creepy people visited that park in Orlando ;))

:lmao:

I didn't include that I was in the SR line, and they asked the people in the standby line. No one asked me if I wanted to sit with the standby people, LOL.

I noticed the occasional empty car, but they made a big deal out of putting the lap bars down etc, and I just figured there was something wrong with that particular car.
