TSMM-Delayed Open Today(3-16)

So what happens to the people with morning FP+? Do they get the message that they can use it at TSM any time during the day after it opens, or do they get the message that they have automatically been switched or that they can have an anytime FP+ at one of some other listed choices? Our 2nd FP+ trip, it seemed like we always had the option to come back anytime that day if a ride was down, or got the choice of going to almost any other ride with a few listed exceptions. Last October, one of our FP+ rides went down, and I remember the list we got of other things we could use our FP+ for was VERY limited. I remember thinking it was a big change from the previous year when it was tempting to just ride something else. It seems like we still had the option of riding that ride later if it reopened, but I don't remember for sure. If it doesn't open until midday, and this is a crowded spring break week, makes me wonder if they still will let people come back anytime the rest of the day (with what I would guess will be a long FP line).

It's no different than the ride going down. They should just get a freebie to come back at anytime or use it for another attraction.

That is exactly how it is being handled.

Asked a CM who said they hope to have it up today. At that point I expect everyone with a cancelled fast pass will inundate the line! Should be mayhem lol

You would think, but with their recent practice of calling people trying to get them to switch their FP+ away from the MK and go to a different park around Easter Weekend, and with all the reports of people getting E-mails in the last couple of weeks stating that their TSM FP+ was changed to a specific different attraction for yesterday with no options as to what other FP+ they were given, it made me wonder.

Good to hear they are still going to let people come back when the ride is up like they usually do, but I bet you are right that it will be mayhem. Still, if I was there, we would take that mayhem fast pass line over a different attraction.

I can't imagine how long that FP line will be. We were there last week, with relatively low crowds, and several times the FP line was all the way back to the Pixar Place sign, with CM's warning people that it was a 25 minute wait with FP. If it gets that bad on a lower crowd day, a high crowd spring break day with several hours worth of FP's returning will be a nightmare.

That's reassuring...

on Dec 20 it was somewhat crowded and kind of a long wait in the FP line but not too bad (probably about 15 minutes). However that was before the recent cutbacks

We've waited for 20 minutes in the TSM FP+ line on a relatively low to moderate crowd day (but we've also had days where it was close to walk on in the FP+ line). I haven't seen any reports of how yesterday went once the ride was back up.
