We are going before Christmas, and just wondering how the lines have been at TSM. We always get a fastpass at WDW, but as far as I know, CA doesn't have one for TSM. We will probably hit that right when the park opens, anyone have any idea how long the lines usually are?

When I was there in August, it was about a 30-45 minute wait most of the day.

CA TSM is not as busy as DS's TSM. It rarely gets the 60-120 minute lines that I've seen common at DS. On moderate to busy days it seems to average 40-45 minutes. On slow days I've waited only 15 minutes but thats rare. Plan on 40-45 minutes as it seems to almost always stay at that length.

When I was at DCA on Tuesday the posted wait time was 20 minutes at it took 15 minutes max. But the park was considerably less crowded then I assume it will be when you're there. I wouldn't expect more than a 45 minute wait though.

We went a couple of times during our stay a couple of weeks ago and the wait was 15 minutes. Of course that does not mean it will be the same during Christmas time ;)

When we have gone during the summer (last July most recent) we prefer to ride TSMM in the afternoon. Our thinking is this: DL opens first at 8am and we want to be there for the uncrowded morning and not waiting in line to get into DCA and then TSMM. If you add up the combined wait of getting into the park and the ride, we figure that is close to what it is later in the afternoon and we still get quickly on DL rides. In the afternoon we found it to be 40-45 minutes on a crowded day. In the morning we saw the line was much longer than that.

Once Carsland opens, it will be interesting to see how it affects the TSMM ride. If DCA opens at the same time as DL, then that would also change my strategy.

The longest I've seen it has been 45 minutes and that was just a few days prior to Christmas, or during summer before the APs were blocked.

We saw 55 and 60 minutes posted a couple of times during Thanksgiving week last year. That's the worst it seems to get anymore. I agree with PPs who mention 40-45 minutes as standard for busy times. I heard about wait times of 15-20 minutes occasionally in the off season. If only we could visit during times like that!
