i need help strategizing TSL for this summer! Me and dd6 would ride all 3 rides. DH and dd3 would only go on TSM. We’d also love to meet some characters if possible. We have the Disney jr character breakfast at 10am, park as of now opens at 9. What should we FP? What should we rd? We were aiming to be done with the park by 4pm, but I’m open to coming back late at night with just dd6 and myself.

Our other alternative is booking the early morning magic, but it would be the very next morning after flying in (we are probably getting in around 9pm), and we also have to pack up that morning bc we are split staying (value resort night one). It would also involve re-scheduling 2 days worth of ADR reservations (it would involve changing dhs from a sat to a wed). I wish emm was still offered on Fridays!

Tia for any ideas/suggestions!

Moved you to the Families Board where Rider Swap-Switch is discussed.

You can split up your Adult FPs for 2 of the TSL rides and utilize Rider Swap. Your complete family should rope drop TSMM.

The height requirement for Alien Swirling Saucers is 32" and for Skinky Dog Dash, it's 38". Unless you have a child who will not meet those requirements, I wouldn't count on rider swap. They generally allow a swap at boarding if the children are tall enough but don't wish to ride, but I don't really see how that will be helpful if only one adult wishes to ride those 2 rides.

One option you could do is have you and DD6 FP SDD and DH and DD3 FP Aliens (or vice versa) and then swap bands so you and DD6 use their bands/their FP for Aliens as well as your own for FP SDD. You can rope drop TSM to get that ride with less of a wait. Obviously, this would mean DH and DD3 aren't using one of their FPs, but you and DD6 would have an extra using their band, and it would likely be a faster way to hit up all 3 headliners for those who actually want to ride them in your party. Then, while you and DD6 are riding those rides, DH could take DD3 to wait in character lines or find something else to do.

Otherwise, if you all FP TSM, then you and DD6 could rope drop one of the other headliners, but you'd probably be stuck in a fairly long standby line for the last headliner.

Thanks for moving to this board. Dd3 is 35 inches, tall enough for one (but she hates spinning rides) and not for the other. I like the idea of swapping bands. Will the barometric prints allow for changes within party?

You'd wear your correct bands into the park which is where the finger print scanner is. Once you are inside the gates, you can switch bands with no issue. When a band is scanned to use a FP, they don't look at or have any way of checking fingerprints. As long as DH and DD3 have entered the park, you can swap bands and use their FP. If they had not entered the parks, you would not be able to do so as it would flag that the magic band wasn't used to enter the park, but I imagine they will be in the parks with you.

With DD3 at 35", you could get a rider swap for Aliens, but since DH doesn't want to ride that, there's really no point. *Edit- You could get a swap for SDD NOT Aliens based on DD3's height.

Whoops, just realized in my last post I said you could get a swap for Aliens. I meant SDD, the one DD3 would not be tall enough for. Again, the point remains that it likely wouldn't be helpful if DH won't ride it.
