I know this has been posted before, but I'm not sure where.
Please, does anyone know where I can get tshirt transfers to print from home?
Thanks

You can get them at walmart, office depot, staples, etc. I've found the best deals on ebay though if you are willing to buy in bulk. I got 50 or 100 sheets (I can't remember) and split them with a friend. The cost was much lower than buying just 10 sheets at office depot.

Just a note to keep in mind: you can't use them with a laser printer. Make sure to get the ones for dark colors if you plan on using dark colors. The ones for white/light colors don't work well on dark colors, but they work great on light colors (and they are a little cheaper).

FYI - I have a link somewhere for some great clipart (PM me if you need it). Also, you can dowload Disney font from dafont.com. I made my familes shirts and they are AMAZING - just a tip (learned the hard way) - make sure your iron isn't too hot - it will turn the transfer yellow! If you need anything else, let me know! :flower:

Hi!

You can purchase the Transfers at any Staples, Walmart or crafts store. I think it's a great idea and I'm glad I found it here at the DIS Boards! :cool1:

Christina above posted the BEST clipart site for T's..... :flower:

I need to organize my links better so I can find them easier :confused3

The reason it is so great is that you won't lose the resolution when you enlarge most of the pics on there!

Exactly, that is the only site I found that you are able to enlarge the picture w/o losing resolution. It's a GREAT site for t-shirts!!!!!!

I prefer the cold peel from http://edps.com/. She's become a friend over the years, but I would buy these, even if she hadn't. I've never had one go on bad. She also has a tutorial on her site, showing how to use transfers.

Excellent site!! I just saved a few pieces of clip art to make a few onesies for my son to wear this summer!!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Thanks everyone.

I'm so new at this.

I used to do tshirt "painting" with fabric paint & transfer image by hand onto the t's.

I really hope I can figure this way it sounds so much easier & quicker.

Thank you all for your info. I'll let you know how it comes out....if I ever get that far.lol

I too used to do t-shirt painting LOL!

We sell a lot of transfers (I'm lucky and have a press) and one thing that really helps, it to not press it as you print it, in a square. Hubby cuts sort of close to the design, and sort of squiggly, so as to not have any sharp corners. We also don't put a hugh design on, especially if you will be wearing it in the hot months, since it makes the shirt hotter. Good luck with your endevor. I really so suggest the cold peel..I think it's better if you don't have a press. One more thing.. the transfers work better on freshly washed shirts, with no dryer sheet or any type of softener used before applying. And we suggest washing them with the item inside out. We do say no dryer, but no one listens, including myself.

I need a little help here. I remembered that we had some t-shirt transfers that we've never used, so I dug those out. I went to the MagicalEars site that Christina recommended. I found a clipart that I liked, put my transfer paper in and hit print, but the image came out way too large for the paper. Then I decided I should probably practice on regular paper and I can't seem to get any of the images to fit. Some of them look like they would fit if I printed "landscape" so I changed my printer setting, but it still printed "portrait" and cut off part of my image. Any suggestions?

I have never even tried this before because usually my color comes out looking drab, but for some reason, the color is printing very nicely today. Don't know whether its the clipart or the paper or what, but I'm liking it.

What I do is copy the clip art and paste it into a word document. YOu could use other programs, but that's just what I have. If you want to add any words, use word art (you can download disney font, which is what I did) and then remember to reverse it before printing it onto the paper. If you don't reverse the image and words, they will be backwards on the shirt.
