My husband and I are lucky enough to have 8 lovely children under the age of 12 and 4 under the age of 4. In addition to the littlest ones, we have several with significant disabilities and several who are adopted, so it is not immediately apparent that we are a "group" if a child's happens to wander a few feet away from us.
My goal in tshirts is to have enough of a cohesive "disign" so we are easily identified as a group, but with the ability for everyone to be individually identified according to both name and age in case of getting separated. Mom and Dad can be labeled as Mom and Dad so if a kid wanders 5 feet away, someone who glances and sees it can also see our group and identify the grown up in change and point out "you have an escapee". A witty saying or slogan if it "works" could be fun!
I have been struggling to come up with a single movie that included enough characters---- the closest I came up with was Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs. I could do something separate for the baby, but none of my kids wants to be thought of as "Dopey" or "Grumpy". It doesnt have to be from the same movie, just something that when put together is identifiable as parents and their kids. I affectionately call them my "ducklings", and I have to get inventive with family crowd control (" H family ducklings! quack this way!" for the youngers or "will the members of the h family rebel alliance return to base camp now!" for the olders).
I know this is a ramble. But I am not a ultra creative person and I am really not looking to micromanage the process of someone who *is* creative. My kids love everything Disney/Pixar and LucasFilm related. I have 4 boys and 4 girls including two sets of boy/girl twins and the kids ages are 12 (g), 9 (b), 7(g),7(b) 3 (b), 2(g),2(b), and 1 (g). Our trip is the end of January. I am looking to pretty much have us in "group" shirts whenever we are at the parks, so if more than one person thought they were interested in coming up something, we would use it. I am not picky, nor demanding. I get that people are donating their own free time to be helpful, and I appreciate it. We have been through a lot this year and this trip is a big deal to us. I just want to come back with the same kids I go there with!
