I love JB...my preferred airline, but you do have to watch them!! Back in Sept, you may remember a little thing called Irma. My friend and I were in WDW the week prior, leaving on a cruise on Sept 8.....that got cancelled, so we had to find rooms at WDW. Ok. Well, the airlines started cancelling flights for that Sat. We knew that our original flights out, on Monday, weren't happening. That was the worst day for Irma. So, we waited to hear from JB...we didn't hear from them, so booked alternate flights for Wednesday morning, knowing that JB wouldn't credit us if we cancelled the Monday flights. So, continued waiting. On Sunday night, they finally cancelled the Monday flights, as well as Tuesday flights. And it looked like I was credited the correct amount. Well, Wednesday's flights were cancelled, at least the morning ones. My friend was on the phone with JB, and was told that 'oh, by the way, I see that your Wednesday morning flight is cancelled'..so she was able to get a new flight for Wed afternoon. By the time she told me about the cancellations, about 30 mins later, I wasn't able to get a flight out on Wed. I called JB and the rep said she would feel better if I could fly on Friday...that would be a sure thing vs Wed, which wasn't going to be a sure thing. So, since I had no issue with staying a few night longer, I said sure. Well....my friend and I had used points to rebook the Wed flights, that replaced the Mon flights since we hadn't gotten a credit when we had to rebook. I used points for the flight I rebooked on Friday. I figured that I would have a nice credit in my JB travel bank when I returned home. Nope...not only did it take almost double the points to change to the Friday flight (since I changed the airport I flew into), the credit in my JB account no longer showed!!! I waited and waited but nothing. I finally emailed them, explaining my issue. Their response? 'As a show of good will we are crediting your account for that Monday flight.'. Seriously? Good will? They cancelled it, not me!! And I tried to be proactive by booking a flight for after the storm, using my points, because there was no credit issued, even though JB told all of us that there would be a full credit for any flights they cancelled due to Irma!!!
Yep, you have to watch 'em...always watching!!!!
