TSA confusing

We're leaving tomorrow for Mexico and I can't find if I need to put my face creams in 311 bag. They are not liquid or gel. Anybody know?? Don't remember what I did before!

If they meet the size requirement, I think you can put them in your 311 bag.

I just wanted to let you know that, in coming back from Mexico into the US, the rules may be different. That government has its own version of TSA and some things that are permitted going from the US to Mexico are not permitted in reverse. I had bamboo knitting needles confiscated by Mexico on our way back last March. Be sure to be aware of what their requirements are when you come back.

Oh I know their rules are different. Last January they confiscated my tweezers (blunt edge) and my nail scissors that were not a problem going into Mexico. I'll probably just toss them into my checked and hope they don't get lost!

It the substances changes shape if you take it out of the container, it goes in the 3-1-1 bag.

Face cream would fall into that category.

Liquid/cream/paste/gel 3.4 ounces or less = 3-1-1 bag. Larger than that, checked luggage.
