TS vs CS

If I am reading correctly, it seems that I CANNOT use a TS credit to get a CS meal. I assumed I would be able to as it is a downgrade. I am staying for 6 days but only have 4 ADRs so far. I'm not sure if I can get 2 more ADRs for places/times that I really want. What is the truth here? Can I get the lesser meal with the TS credit? Thanks.

The absolute bottom-line is that the Dining Plan doesn't allow for exchanging of credits, up or down. In some cases, in the past, Disney has provided an offering of a specific type of exchange, but that offering has expired. Also, in some cases, in the past, some (but not all) of the hotel front desks have agreed to convert a few TS credits into CS credits (i.e., downgrade only) towards the end of a guest's visit, with the agreement that there was no way to convert them back. However, that is not a part of the Dining Plan, and instead is simply a case of a Disney cast member making a special exception for a single guest, perhaps under circumstances we don't understand fully.
