Just curious how much time everyone allows for their table-service meals, from their stated start time, until they leave the restaurant. Trying to do some planning, and thought I'd ask for some opinions. So, how long do you take at regular TS meals? And how about character meals?

Thanks! :)

I allow 2 hours, that way I don't get stressed because we are late for something else. That said, most meals generally seem to take between 1 hour and 1 1/2 hours. (This does not include signature dining, but does include character meals.)

I'd say about 1 hour 15 minutes for most, but not all the signature places like California Grill. Those seem to be more like 2 hours or so. :)

I think it really depends on you and your style of eating. Whether you take your time or not.

For non character meals (dinner time) we are pretty much in and out within and hour. We don't linger, but we don't rush either.

However there have been some longer times depending on the place and or server.
Example: Ohana gets very slow the later in the evening it gets. At least this is our experiences. Anything past 6:30-7pm it can take up to 2 hours. This annoys me, I love that restaurant and the food, but it kills me to take that long to eat a meal. (needless to say we don't do signatures)

Character buffets aren't much different, except maybe adding 15mins to 1/2 hour more depending on where the characters are when you were seated.
Most do the restaurant in 45 mins...so you should be good with them no more than 1 & 1/2.

Hope this helps.

I personally PLAN on 2 hours for a normal table service. This way I will be most likely over planning my time and thus should be a-okay. For a signature experience I would personally plan a bit more then that. However, I should say, I do over plan. I have OCD and one of my "things" is being late for something. I can NOT be late... I am habitually early. If I am cutting it close, I will literally have a panic attack about the thought of being late. So, I am a bit different when it comes to planning things like this.
