OK, so I think we're going with DDxP for our next trip. Yay! We have a 3-year old and 1-year old, so I don't want to always be stuck in restaurants, especially at lunch. What TS restaurants have quicker service than others? I'm thinking we should be able to get in and out at buffets (e.g. Crystal Palace, Tusker House, etc.) if we don't wait for all of the character greetings. We tried Chefs de France last year and the whole thing took almost two and a half hours. :scared1:

Based on the time it takes to get seated, get food, and pay, which TS restaurants are the quickest and which are the slowest? We'll be going during free dining in Sept.

Thanks!!! :)

In general, I think it really depends on how busy the restaurant is, how things are going that day, who your server is, etc. Some times places will be quick, other times it'll be slow. In general, sit down meals (non-buffet) at WDW seem to take about 90 minutes (when ordering appetizer, entree, and dessert) - Signature meals take two plus hours.

For you case, buffets are probably the best way to go because you can regulate the speed at which you get food. Things might be a bit faster is you opt to eat a non-traditional times (i.e., avoid the lunch or dinner rush).

I agree that the buffets are your best bet

For a few years we did the Full Service Dining Plan, but we felt that first of all it was too much food and second we spent too much time eating. We now just do the Quick Service Plan and POP for the two or three sit-down meals during our stay. This definately works for us.
