TS restaurant in MK area

We will be at MK on a day that they are having MNSSHP party. We will not be staying for it, as we are trying to save money. So... if we stay at MK until around 6 or so, should we have a TS meal at MK, or try one of the MK resort areas? My kids are 6 and 8, and won't wait until 8 or later to eat dinner. If we go to resort area, any suggestions? Chef Mickeys? Ohana? Kona Cafe?

I would imagine the crowds would be pretty big that night. I don't think there are that many good choices for TS at MK - I recommend the Plaza.

How about Trail's End at Fort Wilderness? Your kids could have dinner, then you could do the Campfire Sing-Along and Movie with Chip N Dale. Lots of campers decorate at FW so it will be a fun experience and maybe it will help if they start to feel a little disappointed for missing MNSSHP. Best of all, the entertainment is FREE!
