TS outdoor dining?

Can anyone tell me of any TS restaurants that have outdoor dining? I can think of it at Spice Table Road (will be gone when I'm there) and maybe the patio at R&C if you ask when you get there? I really don't want to eat indoors on my next trip, and at any QS (and a few TS to go) I can always take my food to go, and maybe even sit outdoors picnic style But I'm thinking it might be nice to get my food served to me once or twice Any ideas of this happening outdoors?

When we were there in Oct, at DS, Homecoming had some outdoor seating, but I would wonder if for the "winter" they'll add those heavy plastic fake walls to help keeping the cold out, or maybe not?? :confused3 :confused3

Would that count as eating indoors if they add the plastic walls?

We've had a lovely inside meal at five restaurants at WDW (two in Oct and three in Nov). In both places, tables were either removed or labeled as not available for dining. Servers wore both masks and face shields. BOG, Tiffins, The Boat House, CRT and Olivia's. We have reservations for two more next week (Tiffins-again and LTT). We felt perfectly safe.

Taking food to go may be problematic with so few places to sit outdoors to eat. Unless you are taking it immediately back to your hotel.

I completely understand the hesitation to eat indoors; for me, it has nothing to do with the servers wearing masks and the tables separated but about the air circulation in a room full of unmasked patrons and prolonged exposure. That said, we have made some concessions and have dined indoors occasionally but I don't blame people who'd rather not. It IS a risk.

We have sought out restaurants that have large, high ceiling, dining spaces. Like Chef Mickey's was comfortable for me because we were in the lobby of the Contemporary. At Whispering Canyon, we were seated on the back porch area that is more-less the lobby. But I wasn't comfortable at The Wave, which seemed much smaller. Everyone has to determine their own level of risk but wanted to share some of my thinking.

Outdoor dining is hard to come by at Disney, outside of Disney Springs where there is a ton. WDW Prep School has a great resource to help you narrow down your outdoor options: https://wdwprepschool.com/reopening/dining/outdoor-dining-options/

I’ve had outdoor meals at:

Homecomin’ has outdoor seating but I never book far enough ahead to get an ADR.

Thanks! I'll check that out I'm staying at the GF and I love the Grand Floridian Cafe

And regarding plastic "walls" I kind of laughed To us "tourists", January in Orlando is plenty warm, but I know what you mean Frankly, I don't know how I'd feel

I think they biggest thing to remember though is you can't book a table outside. I am sure they will try to accommodate the request if at all possible, but it's possible they won't be able to.

That gives Nomad Lounge a unique advantage It seems to be the only outdoor TS place that doesn't take ADRs So I can walk over and if they don't have any outdoor tables available, walk away If they do, service!

I love Nomad Lounge. I only have been once and it was pre Covid. We did sit inside because it was SO hot outside that we needed a break in the air with a cold drink.

I just wanted to make sure to mention it though. Even if you already knew (which I am sure you did) someone else might not and get upset when they are told they don't have any spots.

We had a lovely meal on the patio at Olivia's at Old Key West. Food, service, and atmosphere were great! Highly recommend heading there for a relaxing experience.

BC's Beaches & Cream and MK's Plaza are both currently offering outdoor seating. When we were at WDW last moth, we also have great CS meals outdoors at Pecos Bill and Flame Tree BBQ.

@jsmla , that looks like an AMAZING view! Thank you so much for sharing! I'm definitely adding this to our plans for February!

I thought the outdoor tables at Beaches and Cream were for the takeout window.

On 11/27/2020, there were servers assigned to those tables. I was watching them with amazement when we were standing in line for the Beaches & Cream to-go window. I really wanted to eat there, but DH didn't want indoor dining. When I saw the servers at the tables, it made me wish that we'd made a reservation.

I'm guessing - and just a guess here - that they could have shifted them for that busy time that probably got affected by the glitch that opened ADRs that weren't there. Rather than cancelling them, they shifted the outdoor tables temporarily. Because more recent reports are that they are back to reserved for take out.
