Can you guys suggest a few affordable TS restaurants in the parks for our upcoming early Dec. trip? It's our first time visiting with our daughter, who will be nine months at the time. What are some really great places to eat that will have enough of a kid-friendly atmosphere for her?

Any suggestions would be awesome! Thanks!

We were on the dining plan, baby was still not ready for a regular high chair, and ate at the following (would go back to them all):

Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge (late lunch) - was great as they had infant seats (slight recline, full plastic base) not just high chairs ... our server even brought an extra cloth napkin to line the infant seat with so it wasn't too cold on the baby's back. Definite family atmosphere here ... can be loud if you go at peak times.

Crystal Palace at MK (dinner) - loved it ... awesome buffet, baby totally LOVED the characters (Tigger, Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet) and again they had infant seats not just high chairs.

Ohanna (late dinner) ... liked the food, no infant seats (just high chairs). Played pass the baby ... but he was happy cuz he constantly got a new view.

SciFi Diner (late lunch) ... baby loved watching the movie clips, food was ok, was able to bring the stroller beside the "car".

Coral Reef (dinner) ... baby had fallen asleep in stroller so they let us wheel it right in beside our table. Awesome aquarium for the baby (and you) to look at while you dine.

Restaurant Marrakesh (dinner) ... nice comfy booth seating that the baby napped on while we ate. Not all seats are booths though.

Boma (dinner) ... nice comfy booth seating that the baby napped on while we ate. Again, not all seats are booths.

Hope this helps a bit.

First, I would start making ADR's as soon as possible. I understand people are having trouble getting them the first two weeks of December. First, I would recommend the Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom. Although not cheap, it is not overly expensive. You can either do breakfast, lunch or dinner and it is a character meal with Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger. Also, Liberty Tree Tavern is very good at the Magic Kingdom. Epcot, the Biergarten, another buffett, is very tasty and there is a live band and music; the Coral Reef which has the big fish aquarium; Garden Grill in the Land; the Studios does not offer a lot--there is a character meal at breakfast and lunch (a buffet) at Hollywood & Vine (we do not like it and won't eat there, but others say it is okay for them); there is 50's Prime Time and Sci Fi and Mama Melrose; Animal Kingdom as Yak & Yeti which is new and I can't comment on it because we are trying it for the first time this year.

If you go to allearsnet.com and go to menus, it lists the foods (and the prices if I'm not mistaken).

You know I read this somewhere else so I scrambled and made all my ADRs yesterday....I'd been hemming and hawwing with tweaking my planning so hadn't done any yet....and I got everything I wanted and almost the times I wanted.

Chef Mickey 11:20 (wanted 10am, but it's still fine)
Coral Reef 5:40pm (asked for 5:30)
Whispering Canyon Cafe 5:55 (asked for 5pm)
Tusker House breakfast with Donald 9:30am (asked for 9-10)
50's Prime Time Cafe 11:40 (asked for noon)
Sci Fi 7:30pm (this was the one most disappointed, asked for 5-6, I'm a tad worried we'll be too tired by 7:30 since we arrive at the park for rope drop)

There were some others I got also but those were the popular ones.

Maybe those having trouble have a larger group than our party of 3? Or maybe I just got really lucky? I know I felt extremely lucky about the Coral Reef....I had an alternate restaurant chosen for that one!
