TS Dining Plan Credits

We are a party of 8 and all of us are on the Disney Dining Plan and will be eating all our TS meals together. At TS restaurants, are we allowed for just some of us to use the TS credits while the others pay out of pocket? For example, 4 adults use their TS credit while everyone else pay OOP for their meal?

When we ate at Via Naplia in Epcot on our last trip we were on the Dining Plan but wanted to Pay out of pocket for this meal, so when the host asked if we were on DP, I said "no". I didn't want to explain all the details as to why we didn't want to use our Credits so I said "no" it was easy that way. I wonder if you let them know that 4 of you are on DP and the other 4 want to pay oop I'm sure they would let you.

At every restaurant except for Via Napoli, you shouldn't have any problems. Just be sure they know which 4 meals to charge to the DDP and which 4 are OOP (perhaps sit on the same side of the table?). Via Napoli does not allow sharing if you are on the DDP. That doesn't mean you can't still do the 4/4, but you can't share.
