TS credits can be used at QS dining????

I thought I was going crazy when I looked at the brochure just now and saw that the verbiage had been removed about using a TS at a QS restaurant. Glad to know I haven't lost my marbles!

I truly do hope they will honor a TS at a QS. Doesn't make sense not to.

I emailed WDW, and this was the official response:

"Dear Danielle,

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort. We are happy to
know you will be vacationing with us and experiencing the magic!

You will be happy to know that you may use table service meal
entitlements for quick service meals, but you cannot use quick service
meal entitlements for table service meal experiences.

:cheer2: Smart thinking to contact them! Now to print this page and carry it along?!

But a new one has since been printed and distributed where that statement is not included, right?

Yes they have changed it.We are sticking with the QSDP it just works for us better. We will pay OP for 2 character meals.

The 2012 brochure was re-printed recently, in March. The reprint said the regular dining plan included appetizers. So it was reprinted again. The one with the April date is the latest and it appears they did remove the phrasing on the first 2012 brochure that said TS Credits could always be used at CS restaurants. As for what that means, it likely means you'll have to ask at the individual restaurant if they will accept your TS credit.

It was in 2010, but we made a mistake and had 15 credits left on the DxDP on our last day. CBR concierge desk told me we could build meals out of 2 snack items and a beverage, which we did. We had food for our whole drive home, LOL. We stopped and bought a styrofoam cooler on the way out for our 15 bottled drinks. We ate muffins and bagels for 2 days, but at least we didn't waste those credits. They were Dx credits though, which don't differentiate between TS and CS.

I realize it wasn't the best use of those credits, but I misunderstood how dinner shows would be billed and was saving credits for them when they had already been taken out. 2 dinner shows times 3 people was 12 extra meals.

I don't think I would ever give up a TS for a CS I would take any extra TS and get a breakfast at Boma or Crystal Palace. Or use 2 TS and go to the HDDR. Not that I 'm cheap (but I am) but I like to make the best use of TS .:cool1::hippie:

The brochure also makes it clear that CS and TS cannot be redeemed for snacks. We are one of the many who grab snacks for the plane when checking out to use up left over credits of any type. Wonder if they are really enforcing this part??

By all reports, this is being enforced.

This option has been discontinued out of 2012, although the resorts appear to be offering a continental breakfast for a CS credit, consisting of one baked good, one piece of fruit, and one beverage, and they are reportedly strict about allowing you to select only those items. There was one report that someone was not allowed to get a fruit cup, it had to be a piece of fruit.

Apparently you can still assemble a meal out of smaller options like baked goods at the Main Street Bakery.
