Just to clarify as I am considering the Dining Plan (hopefully it will be offered free for my Sept trip).

There have been a lot of posts on the site about using TS credits only at TS and QS only at QS but...

I was looking at the PDF for the 2012 Disney Dining Plan (for arrivals 1/1/12 thru 12-31-12) on the Disney website and on the very bottom of the page
the following is listed under the heading "Some Great Tips":

If you choose, you may use your Table-Service entitlements at
Quick-Service locations
.

Now, I understand that this would not be cost-efficient and is not something you would want to do as a matter of course, but maybe would be good to know if you were in a position of having too many credits toward the end of a trip and didn't want to lose them.

Is this a new policy for Disney? or is this not accurate?

I've heard of people, in the past, who ended up with extra TS credits and had no choice but to use them for CS. While this occasionally happens due to a missed meal because of illness or personal emergency, it is more often just the result of poor planning. As in not making ADRs during FD or a very busy time and then not being able to get a walkup seating.

OK rant over. Long answer short: yes you can use TS credits for a CS meal. Huge waste of money, but you can do it.

It's not a change in policy as far as I know. I was able to do it several years back.

Now wouldn't it be nice if you could change 2 QS points for 1 TS? ;)
