I know that I can use a TS credit at a CS restaurant, correct? Do I get anything extra for doing this, or just the one CS meal? Just wondering if I maybe got a CS meal and a snack for the TS credit. I am going to have one credit left over and it's no big deal, but just trying to plan.

Thanks.

You might be able to use a TS credit at a CS location, but there's no guarantee. From all reports, you tend to get better results at a resort CS.

In any event, it's a 1:1 trade -- you get nothing extra for your credit, just a normal CS meal.

In May of 2009 we were able to change a child TS to a QS. We had to go to the resort check in area and they changed it in the system. I'm not sure if you could randomly go to a CS and be able to have them do it there?

I would be interested to know if people still have been able to do this. The girls are planning / hoping for CRT which will leave us with an extra child TS for one of the boys in our group. We can't very well send him off on his own :confused3 but could use the extra QS for something.

in previous years during Free Dining in Aug-Sept, you were allowed to exchange table service for counter service. They used to offer something extra (a trinket like a pin lanyard or tote bag; or snack credits & counter service) However, starting last year all they allowed was a straight-up trade one table service for one counter service.

When it's not free dining, people have reported occasional success doing a straight trade at Downtown Disney restaurants and some park places. The most success on this exchange has been reported at your resort counter service but even there it's not a guaranteed trade. I have been in line behind people who were being told they could not use the table service credit because "my computer doesn't recognize the table service credit, sorry...it's saying you have no quick service credits left." The people were referred to talk to the manager and stepped out of the line so don't know if the manager was able to over-ride it for them or not. Just be prepared for the possibility of a hassle.

Unless you have the Deluxe plan...in which case, the credits are meal credits and can be used at table or counter service, either way.

Not TS for CS, but: This past May I shared a room at CSR with a fellow DISer. She had to leave the day before I did and due to us going over to Universal two days, she had four CS credits left on her last day. She tried to use them for snacks at Starring Rolls bakery in DS, but was told conversions had to be taken care of at your resort. We ran back to CSR and she checked with guest services, who told us that they couldn't do anything, but to check with Cafe Rix. At Cafe Rix she was told that she could trade those CS credits in, but it would be a one for one trade. All she got for her four CS credits were four Snickers bars.
