As if raining at least part of everyday for the last several weeks was not bad enough, now TS Bill is bearing down and we are under a tornado watch until 4pm! AAArgh. Anyone want to send me a boat?

I hear ya! I've been on bedrest the past few weeks and I finally get to get out of the house today for a dr appt and I'm going to have to go in the middle of a TS.

Uggh, I know. I hate having to work on days that we're supposed to have bad weather. Plus I'm totally unprepared for this one! I have yet to go out and buy batteries or water! I totally didnt see this one coming!

I was in New Orleans on Thursday to Saturday for a conference. It rained every day. I know that the ground has to be saturated already.

Yep. You'd think being 4 hours from the coast would protect us, but the forecast is "heavy thunderstorms" for the next few days. I hope it doesn't create tornados - we're still recovering from the ones in November and May!

I just had to go pick up DDs from summer camp. They are closing it down due to weather and flooding. I waded through ankle deep water to got get my daughters. Fortunately DH drives a truck so we were able to get home without flooding the car. We live on a golf couse and the standing water is about 3 feet from our fenceline right now.

Oh well, hopefully we will dry out sooner or later!

It has been raining here all morning, the sun is peeking through for a bit now but it won't be long lasted. We also have severe thunderstorms and heavy rain in the forcast....under a Flash Flood Watch as well.

I'm with you Tammi I had no idea about this until last night when I just happen to switch through on the Weather Channel.

I JUST saw this on the news and wondered how the heck I could miss it. I was even the first to post about it on my message board for Slidell friends. Nobody there mentioned it, nobody here mentioned it, and I haven't talked to my mom. I've been hearing blurbs about Bill for a while but never took notice-- thought it was way out in the gulf still.
