We're looking at two nights where we might have later ADRs with the boys. It isn't our idea family scenario, but MVMCP and Fireworks are pushing the times back - so we're planning accordingly (naps, plus heavy snacks in the afternoon/early evening, etc). I read elsewhere on the board - only briefly, that resorts have limits on how late children are allowed at the table for dinner. It kind of shocked me, since the time posted was 8pm (the time we were considering) so I thought I would double check over here in the proper forum. Can someone please enlighten me? If that's the case, we'll make it work - I just don't want to have to scrap plans for two nights and and start over at the last moment.

Thanks :)

I've seen kids in WCC at 9:30 and often at the 9:30 HDDR there will be several kids. Sounds like a load.

I think you might have been reading a thread on the resorts board where somebody was asking which resort has the least children and somebody made a comment that they think kids should not be dining after 8:00. If this is what you were reading then in no way is this any kind of rule, just somebody's preference.

Whoever said kids are not allowed in the restaurants is horribly misinformed. There is no such rule. Maybe it was wishful thinking on that poster's part.

No such rule. My advice would be to look at the buffet's though so you don't have to wait for the food. That seems to help us when we have to dine "late".;)

Definitely not true...I've had my kids (5 and 1) at CG for a 9:00 pm ADR. The baby slept through most of it.

I'm still gathering ideas, but I was thinking maybe Chef Mickey's for one of the dinners? Not even sure how late they're open, but they're not far from MK - and since it's a "kid's nite" I thought they had characters. My plan is 1. Ideas, 2. Research times. 3. Start laying out park days, 4. Lay out ADRs and Shows 5. Contact IPO. I figure it's going to take the next couple of months just to get through the first few points (especially with spring break and our spring planting season creeping up). I'm hoping the Very Mickey Christmas dates are released sooner rather than later - because a lot of our evening planning depends on that.
