So, it has been 7 years since we have been there and a lot has changed...

There will be just the two of us - DH & Self - we are DVC Members - planning a visit for Jan 2020, staying onsite at Boulder Creek Villas (though to us it will always be called Wilderness Lodge)

I am not sure I am wording this correctly----My question is: If you get the DVC Annual Pass - Gold but do not pick officially activate it until you arrive in Jan, 2020...are you able to use the Fast Pass+ system at 60 days to make the reservation for say Slinky Dog Dash? Or do you have to wait to make fast pass reservations until you get there?

If just one of us has just regular park hopper ticket...are we able to make fast pass reservations for both of us...or just for the person with the ticket?

We are both attached on the "my experience" if that matters.

You’ll be able to make the fast passes at 60 days for the person with the ticket and the person with the annual pass that hasn’t yet been activated as well.

As long as you have the voucher in the MDE, you should be able to make reservations at the 60 days mark.

You can make FP reservations for as many tickets as you have, so if you only have one ticket (or AP), you can only make it for one person.

Yes, you can. You may find the FP FAQ helpful, specifically Post #2.

I contacted Disney today and asked the question and then clarified it several times before hanging up. According to the person I spoke with (and they could be wrong)...If I purchase a DVC Gold Annual Pass, I will receive a Voucher that I then hand to a Guest Service Agent at WDW, they then give me my Annual Pass and at that time the Guest Service Agent will link it to MDX. The Voucher I receive in the mail is not active. Once you activate it, you can then link it in MDX HOWEVER...if I activate it today, May 26...then it is valid for one year from today and I'm not going until Jan, 2020.

As for making Fast Passes...I can do so 60 days in advance as long as I have a room on property-which we do- and the room is linked in MDX-which it is.

Did I get bad information?

Yes.

Link your AP voucher to your MDX Profile and you can pre-book your FPs.

Your voucher/MDX AP info can be activated at any Ticket Window in 2020 and a hard, plastic AP Card will be issued to you. Your AP will then be valid for a full year from the date of activation.

Seconding this. A new AP is never active until bought or used at WDW itself. Entering the voucher info into MDX is enough to open FP privileges.

As long as you have APs attached to your MDE account (even if they are not activated), you should have no problem getting FPs.
This year, our APs expired before our 60 day window opened for FPs. We renewed our Gold Passes, they linked in MDE. We got our FPs at the 60 day window and activated the APs when we arrived earlier this month.

How do you link the AP Voucher in MDX---is there a number or code or something on the voucher?
