Trying to Understand Discounts

I'm an addict, that's all there is to it. I have literally become obsessed with finding my DBF and I the best deals there are, otherwise, we can't go (maybe that's why ) Anyway, I'm trying to understand all the discount types.
I have searched high and low for good resort rates (I refuse to stay off property.) Here are my questions:
1. If you book in advance and then codes come out can you call and add the special code to your amount thus making it less? Or is it once you book, your price is set?
2. If you book with AAA or any other company discount and special codes come out, can you use them on top of your already discounted AAA rates?
3. How much in advance of the validity dates do the codes normally come out?
4. How much does it cost to add plusses to a general PH? We will not use the water parks and may only use PI 2-3 nights.
5. Where is the best place to find menu lists and prices?

Join the crowd, we are all addicts here.
1. Yes and this is how I prefer to do it. Book a room only, not a package, and apply discounts as soon as they come out. That way you know you have your room. Don't assume this means you can take your time when the codes come out, there are a limited number of rooms with each code.
2. I don't think so, but I don't use AAA so maybe someone else knows.
3. That really just depends, if your dates are right after another codes last day then it may be pretty close, before another code comes out (if any comes at all). Mousesavers.com has historical data.
4. The price differance between a no plus PH and a w/pluses PH depends in part on how many days, but it is not as much as paying for admission... I think PI has a deal that you can get at the gate that is good. Someone will know...

Thanks Haley! You Texans are too sweet (my best friend lives down there.) Hopefully someone else may be able to fill in the blanks for AAA. We are considering a trip in late September right before the season type changes. I wasn't sure if after this 'summer' promotion that ends on 7/4 is over if there would be new codes that came out directly after that.

1. Once you book you can always apply a discount code should one come out. But call right away they have so many alotted rooms per each code.

2. You can use the AAA discount or a better one if it comes out but you cant use both.

3. Usually the codes come out a month or so ahead of time.

4. Go ahead and buy the park hopper pluses--just use the plus options at PI isntead of the waterparks. Depending on what day ph you get you could have anywhere from 1 to 4 plusses.

5. Deb's site is a great place to see the menu's.
