This is our first trip to WDW and we are so excited! We are also so confused of what all we need to learn to make the most of our trip.

I know there is not a bus "schedule" as such. However, are there routes posted to let you know which bus to take to which location? We are staying at Ft Wilderness and I know everyone says getting to MK is easy but getting to the other parks is a little more difficult. Are there direct routes from Ft Wilderness to each park or do you go to MK and then change buses to the other parks?

Thanks for any info!

The are routes posted at each bus stop, but until you get the system down it's best to ask the driver as you get on to make sure it's going to where you want to go since even the signs on the bus can be wrong.

It is actually quite simple.

From your loop.

There will be a colored bus that comes by either going to Settlement or Outpost.

If you want to go to Trails End, Hoop De Doo, the Marina, the Settlement
Trading Post, Magic Kingdom, Contemporary or Wilderness Lodge, then hop on a bus that says "Settlement", then it is a short walk to the above places and to the boat. At the boat dock, you can take a boat to the Magic Kingdom, Contemporary, or Wilderness Lodge. You can also take a bus to the Wilderness Lodge from the Settlement Bus Depot.

If you want to go to Epcot, Studios, Animal Kingdom, Downtown Disney, Typhoon Lagoon, or Blizzard Beach, the Ft. Wilderness Trail Ride, or the front desk, then from your loop, take a bus that goes to Outpost. At the Outpost bus depot, you then transfer to a bus to your destination.

Going back to your loop from the Ft. Wilderness bus stop, you just have to watch for your color bus.

Loop 2000 - 2700 and the group camping area use the Purple Bus.
Loop 100 - 500 and 1400 - 1900 use the Yellow bus
Loop 600 - 1300 use the Orange bus

There is a bus that goes to each park individually....its really as not difficult as it ends up sounding when being discussed on here....ya go to the OUTPOST DEPOT (in front of the campground, near check in) and the park your going to will have a bus with the name of the park listed on front and on side(usually)....you most likely will never wait more than 10 minutes for any bus. Ya USED to have to catch The MGM/HollywoodStudios bus in the back of the campground(Settlement Depot)....but Ive read here that thats now at the outpost depot also.
