Trying to understand a group purchasing LLMP & LLSP!!!

We have a group of 8 friends traveling to WDW in a few months. Staying with a DVC club member who is generously sharing her points!! I’m trying to make sure I understand the new LLs
1-We can link our park hopper tickets together right? Even though they will be purchased individually.

2-when purchasing the LLs can one person coordinate for all of us? And if one person is the setting up the purchase of the LLs then how are things charged?

3-if only some of us want to purchase a LLMP does everyone in the group have to purchase them? Same for LLSP?

Maybe I’m over thinking how this works logistically, so I would very much appreciate any help or suggestions. Or any help that would help me understand this process FPs were the thing when I was last there so that you for your patience!!!

No you will be linking multiple MDE Accounts using the Friends & Family function. Your tickets are tied to a MDE Account and assigned (linked) to an Individual.

Each MDE account is tied to an eMail address. How many MDE accounts do you currently have for the Group?

3-if only some of us want to purchase a LLMP does everyone in the group have to purchase them? Same for LLSP?

To add to the comments from @scrappinginontario above when you start a purchase of LLMP or LLSP for any day after you select the date you will see a list of all linked individuals in your MDE and Friends & Family linked individuals. You can select all or a subset of individuals for each purchase.

That is both good and bad since the logical assumption is that you can select only a subset from your group to break up purchases for the same attractions. However if you have 8 in your Group and you try to book smaller groups for payment it is almost impossible to pick the same or overlapping attraction return times across multiple MDE accounts for LLMP and/or LLSP.

I think we would all try and pick to do the same things and most of us do the same LLMP and LLSP. I wasnt sure how hard it was to get those LLs for a group of 8, or if it was better to try and overlap?

No you don't need every one under the same MDE account. For anyone that has their own MDE account they just need to exchange Friends & Family requests ahead of your LLMP and/or LLSP pre- purchase date and confirm they can see all the members of the group for this trip.

If someone does not currently have their own MDE account and does not plan to manage their plans for this trip they could be added to one of the existing MDE accounts. However without a MDE account an individual can't manage their own plans or LLMP and/or LLSP selections or see the details of the daily plans.

For your initial LLMP and/or LLSP selections 8 guests is not likely to be an issue. For additional day of selections while you can't take advantage of some cases where there might be only small number of available return times but attempting to actually select multiple groups and attempt to modify for overlapping return time slots for attractions may be extremely complex.

One more question, Maybe.
Each person going now has their own MDE account. We understand about linking under friends and family and making sure everyone can see everyone else. On the day where we can purchase the LLMP/LLSP and the subsequent ride picks, with a group of 8, is it better for
--one person to go in and make all the selections that the group wants to ensure that the group can stay together ( and if so does that person essentially pay for all the selections)
--or everyone go in individually which would guarantee that everyone pays for themselves, but maybe the options of the same rides/time frames won't be available
--or am I just completely wrong in my thinking

OK that is exactly what I was trying to figure out, the purchaser of the LL is the one that pays, regardless if everyone has an MDE account with a card linked! Whew, I just couldn't figure out how to ask or understand what I was asking! Thank you for cracking my wordy code! We are a group of teachers arriving on a Thursday evening and leaving on Sunday Evening. So it is a quick trip, one of those "You know what would be fun...." and here we are LOL
