So, this is really a question for both the resort and the dining plan board, so please bear with me!
Our dear friends have given us three DVC nights in a 1BR at BC in the last full week before Christmas (17-21) - however, the nights are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday (one reservation for Monday, a separate res for Wed/Thurs). They are on a waiting list for Tuesday - nothing available right now, but may come up later.
We're SO grateful of this gift -and we're now moving on to figuring out our logistics.
I've made a rack-rate room-only reservation for Tuesday evening , but I wanted to make sure that this would work before I ask our friends to add the dining plan to our DVC reservations.
We're going to add the deluxe dining plan for Monday, as well as Wed/Thursday nights. This is an adult-only trip, so its just DH and myself.
Deluxe dining for three nights, which actually covers five days, seems like a bonus to me ... We've got Narcoosees on Monday evening, leaving When we check back in on the DVC reservation with DxDP (for Wed/Thurs), it will give us six more TS credits each to use from checkin Wed. through midnight Friday. (We are at a Marriott property closer to the airport Friday night, to fly out early Saturday, so I have booked Fulton's for Friday evening).
Seems to me like this "break" in having a rack rate room/no DDP on Tuesday night is going to make the dining plan really work in our favor. I have ADRs at Narcoosee's (Monday), 50s Prime Time (Wed), Teppan Edo Lunch and Ohana on Thursday (noon lunch, dinner reservation is at 9:50 p.m.), then Fulton's on Friday.
By my calculations, it leaves us one TS meal for Tuesday, then one more unscheduled credit on Wed/Thurs/Fri that we can use wherever & whenever.
Before I get all proud of myself ... Does anyone see any problems with my plan? (other than not having ADR's - which I am well aware limits where we may be able to get in. However, with an adults-only trip, we don't want to over-schedule and lose all of our flexibility).
Thanks in advance for the feedback!
