Trying to stay positive

We will be in the parks for my kids 1st visit (ages 3&4) and my DH's 2nd visit (his previous was a partial day visit ) 2/2 - 5. Reading the list of closures, especially the castle (praying it's not tarped) plus the measles issues is disheartening. BUT as the thread states I'm trying to stay positive. I'm focusing on the below up sides.

My kids don't know what they're missing so there's no loss and it makes a return visit when they are older all the better.
We've all been vaccinated.
Crowds should be at an all time low
Less people means better chance of a magical upgrade
We will likely discover some lesser known gems in the park.
My DD gets to experience Frozen mania at its peak. She will probably never be more obsessed than she is at this moment.
My CM family member assures me the measles outbreak is being sensationalized (not interested in debating this, I'm keeping positive )
My kids had their minds blown just going to the disney store at the mall, it's going to be ok.
And finally...a day at Disneyland with my family is going to be better than anything I could be doing at home.

^^^^^^^^. TOTALLY AGREE.^^^^^^^^^^

We're heading into the park Jan 27th.

Not concerned about measles or tarped castles at all.

As was said earlier, a bad day at disneyland is still better than a good day ANYWHERE else.

People on this thread complaining about Disney....give your brains a shake.

We are going in March and while the list of refurbs is lengthy, we are not letting that dampen our enthusiasm......after all we are going to be at Disneyland!!!:cool1::cool1:

Stay positive and have a great trip!!!

Every year or 2 is actually a lot more than most people. We used to go a lot but now our trips are spaced out a few years. Since we've been so many times, I don't really care about the castle that much. There are some who are taking a once in a lifetime trip, literally. I feel bad for them.

Well, you do have a point, and I am very grateful to be able to go as often! :goodvibes I go to WDW at least twice a year but DH and I just started making (almost) annual visits to southern California about 8 years ago.

:( I'm an East coast visitor and don't get to go often (once every year or 2).

Every 2 years is pretty often. More often than most. Just be thankful that you will be back in 2 years. Others this is their first visit & other it may be there only visit.
