Hello, I'm "new" to posting here, but I have followed your threads for years for valuable information about the Fort! :) Anyway, we are planning to visit October 10th through the 17th, but we may have to cut it a day short. When reserving, we can get 10-16th, and I can reserve from Saturday on, but for some reason, Friday is booked. Is it odd for just one day to not have any sites available, but all of the days around it have them available? It just seemed odd. Should we book what we can get and then keep trying to grab that extra day? Can I call the Fort directly to ask them or do I have to call the main Disney number?

Sorry for so many questions!

Wierdly, Fridays and Saturdays can be unavailable when everything around it is open. Fall and Spring are really popular "weekend get aways" for people living close (locals). I would book what is available now and keep trying to add in the Friday. Most everyone has seemed like they can piece together the exact reservation they wanted.

Calling may also help if you get a good and/or creative CM.

I also just noticed that October 12th is Columbus Day. 3 day weekends are generally busier times if the locals are out of school. If you haven't booked the 10-16th yet. DO IT NOW. I'm surprised the 10-12th weekend was still available.

and if all else fails, ask for the extra day when you check in, we have been successful that way

Thank you! We have our reservation on "hold" right now for 7 days, thank goodness because now even the dates we held are not available. Making the official reservation tonight!
