Trying to plan a 2 or 3 day DLP trip

DVC, been to WDW about 30 times.

trying to combine a quick trip to dlp next spring with my son.

2 full days? recommended hotel? I've been on hold with dvc for over half and hour to see about using points.
I've read this forum and the disney site. I'm still confused!!

is there a better site for a package than the disney site? combine hotel/tickets or separate?

do both paris airports have trains to DLP? thought is 2 days in park and 1 day exploring Paris before heading to Budapest or home depending on if this is the beginning or end of trip.

Looks like meal plan makes sense as opposed to the one at wdw!

I'm not sure about dvc, hopefully you can get a bargain there.
If you're in the US I think your disneyland paris site is a lot more expensive. You should check the UK and French sites for better deals. As you're looking for an online package with tickets, booking direct through Disney is definitely best. But the trick is to check different country sites for the best offers!
For my part I don't think the meal plans offer great value and I don't use them. I prefer to have the choice of all restaurants and the full menu (the meal plan generally restricts you to a set menu) and the cost savings aren't always there.

I would definitely stay at an onsite hotel as they are within easy walking distance of the parks. At the budget end I would recommend The Cheyenne, it's cowboy themed and has bunk beds and a double bed in the room. For mid priced I would go with Sequoia Lodge, it's a small scale Wilderness Lodge without the amazing lobby, but still very homely. It has nice pool with a water slide. At the top end I would go with Hotel New York, larger rooms, very smart and hot items standard at breakfast. All the onsite hotels offer breakfast.
You can get a train from CDG, but I don't think from the other one. Lots of people use shared shuttle services or the VEA bus for transfers.

Defiantly the Disney site is the best for hotel and ticket package. The hotels at DLP are more affordable and alot nearer the parks than the American Disney hotels. Plus staying onsite means you get EMH and all the perks.

Have each of them open in a seperate tab and do the same dates / hotel /amount of people search on each one. You will be able to compare prices easier and see if any has a deal that the other doesn't

Yes you can get a train from the airports, it is the fastest way but can also be expensive. There is also the bus option . I have used http://magicalshuttle.co.uk/ on both of my trips. Direct from the airport to the door of your onsite hotel. Journey takes about 40 mins but I usually give 1 hour for traffic.

Like PP I would advise AGAINST the meal plan. I have been twice and both times did not use a meal plan. I am a member on another Disney forum and many others there also dont use the meal plans. Disney really push people to take them though

You never mentioned what time of year you plan on going. During the off times certain attractions are just closed during the week due to low attendance. We went in September and saw everything we needed to in both parks in a single day.

We used DLParis as part of a longer time in Paris. We opted not to use DVC points for our stay near DLParis because the conversion rate of points to $$ was not good enough to justify using points. You might want to rent the points instead and then pay cash. We ended up staying in Paris and taking the RER A train right to Disney.

Dining plan wasn't something we wanted to worry about for such a short stay and just too confusing. It might be nice to catch a breakfast in the hotel before hand and then head into the parks. Pro tip: free wifi at the Earl of Sandwich.

If you opt to not stay onsite you can also buy your tickets at the gate or use will call. Since I can read french we used the french site and then will call.

Thanks for all the help. Sequoia looks like the best option for us. It's 34 dvc points per night which is I rent them will net me about $374. I'll have to see cost of hotel with tickets vs separate.
Looking to go late May 2016. Going to use dlp as out base after we go to Budapest. FIgure 1-1.5 days park and 1 day in Paris proper. I've been there, will show my son the high lights.

Will hav to price out train vs bus. I thought of arriving in Paris and staying somehwere in the middle of things and training it to the park, just not sure which way to do it.

Next up are the flights; us to london to budapest to paris to us.

To make it easy: I would say one third of your time should be spend in the Walt Disney Studios, the other two third in Disneyland Park. Disneyland Park really is the main park with most shows etc. There will be meet and greets in both parks. Exact times are stated on the park program, available at the enterance of both parks for free. Most other entertainment (parade, fireworks) is in Disneyland Park.

I wouldn't get meal vouchers by the way, unless it's through a promotion or something. On this page you can check info about restaurants and their locations, general opening hours, menu's and pricing:

For some Table Service restaurants you should make reservations. If you choose Auberge the Cendrillion, Café Mickey, Inventions, Bistro Chez Remy, Walts, Silver Spur, Blue Lagoon, I would recommend this. You can do this by phone 60 days prior to arriving by phone or during your stay at your hotel concierge or at City Hall in Disneyland Park. For other restaurants, just show up.

It's almost certain the Swing into Spring season will be back in May 2016, which is great!

Hotel Sequoia Lodge is great. The distance from the parks is a nice walk through Disney Village (where you can shop, dine, etc.). It has been recently refurbished and the theming is very nice.
