Hello there! First time poster here. :) I have a bunch of Disney gift cards I'm trying to get rid of...29 to be exact (each worth $50 for total value of $1,450). None have been used. I had purchased them from a Corona Walmart awhile back (used WM store credit) with the intention of buying a couple annual passes for me, my boyfriend and saving the rest for food and whatnot. However, I got into a nursing program and decided I could use the money instead (and plus I won't have time to visit the parks anymore). I was wondering, does anybody here know a reputable outlet to resell them at. I purchased them at full value and I don't mind taking a small loss but I'd prefer to at least get 90% value for them. I've looked at Cardsnagger.com and other gift card reseller sites but none seem to be trustworthy enough to deal with.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!:)

People buy gift cards on EBay, you could sell them there and get pretty close to the face value.

Oh I looked at eBay but part of their gift card policy states that you can only post (1) gift card every seven days and it cannot exceed $500. I have (29) of the cards so it would take me 29 weeks if I sold one each week lol. Also, I considered trying to consolidate the cards so that I have fewer in my hands, but after reading the forums, it turns out you can't do it unless you're paying a balance at a hotel or something like that.

You can't sell the cards here...just in case that's where this was going.:goodvibes No sales on this forum/board. You can give them away, but no sales.

Oh no, I wasn't trying to sell on the board. I could see how that would be completely inappropriately and super creepy from a first-time poster. :rotfl2: Just thought I'd get suggestions on where to sell them from Disney fanatics. :)

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would try craigslist but be prepared to meet people at the parks or at a disney store. Or you can hang out at the parks and try to sell them their but I don't know if Mickey will approve of that
Also people might be expecting a bigger discount since at 90% they really aren't getting a discount since that's what we can get them for at target, so your really going to have to make it appealing for them to risk the fact that (I'm not saying they are) they might have been purchased with a stollen credit card or that you call them in lost or stollen.

When I went on my disney cruise I purchased a lot of cards of craigslist but they were all at at-least a 20% discount since you have to remember gas is expensive and sometimes the hassle of getting to the seller isn't even worth the small discount, the good thing you have going for you is that you have ALOT of cards so that small discount will add up

How about Cardpool? They are owned by the same company as Safeway, so they are reputable. I've purchased gift cards from them a couple times, but have not sold so I don't know the details.

Oh I forgot to mention you can also try returning them if you haven't scratched of the back I know for a fact target will return them. If you can't return them then I would definitely try to sell them ASAP b4 the market gets bombarded with gift cards and prices go down it happens every yr after Xmas. Starbucks cards are already at a 40% discount on Craigslist and it's not even Xmas yet

I have used Cardpool (recently even) and was very impressed. They will tell you how mug they will pay for them and pay for the shipping. I got about 92% average return and was paid the day after they received the cards.

Well if they are any good, just mail them to me. :)
As a giftie of course. Lol

Wouldn't it just be better to go and use your Target card and get 5% off? Sure, you'd pay $1377.50 (
$2.50 more than this offer) but isn't it safer that way?

Agreed

That's what I was trying to say, if she really wants to sell then she's going to have to give a much much bigger discount and keep her story straight. Funny the op hasn't come back

Wow. Seriously... If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck and all.

Thanks for sharing the CL link lexysdad04. I wonder if there needs to be a CL warning ad RE hers so people know she's got different versions of her story? That's a big chunk of change she's hoping for.

Damn that sucks, I hope for her sake the cards are legit. ..but as of right now it looks like a scam job...

Looks like she took her Craigslist listing for the $1450 Disney gift cards down.
