I have a question since I too have been quoted the $52/16 for the DDP.

When trying to figure out the package prices they gave me....since they 'cannot break it down'....

Is there tax on the room? I was quoted $109 a night for POFQ.
Is there tax on the tickets and how much is tax?
Is there tax on the DDP or is it included? Are prices if you pay as you go including taxes. Meaning, its usually $4.99 for a kids meal...will there be tax on that?

yes the dining plan, tickets includes tax.
No the hotel prices per night does not include taxes but if you were to do a mock room only reservation with no discount on walt disney site for those dates you will have the total amount for the stay including tax for the room only
yes you will be charged tax on the $4.99, most places being 6.5%

Just to clarify...when you buy a dining plan, the price you pay upfront for the dining plan includes all the tax on the meals you later get. So if you have the kid's dining plan and go buy that $4.99 kids meal at a counter service, they swipe the room card and take a counter service meal off the total meals available...you owe nothing at the counter. Same with the adult meals...tax is always included on the dining plan meals. If you pay cash for the $4.99 meal, it will cost you $5.32, including tax.

Only exception would be if you should want to buy a beer or a glass of wine...or any item that does not ordinarily come with the plan. You will then have to pay for the alcohol & the tax on the cost of that drink. So if you bought a $10 cocktail with your dining plan meal, then you'd owe $10.65 on the meal. Tips are not included with the dining plan, so consider that when figuring how much additional money you'll need.

Keep in mind that there are several taxes that go on the room fee. Florida has several different tax charges on hotel rooms. It comes out to about 17% on the room portion.

Oh, and if you eat or buy anything in the Pop resort (and I think AKL) they are in a different county and they are 7%.

sorry...i meant it's like 14% on the rooms for tax.
