trying to get food shopping organized....

month to month is so different in my home ....we go from overflowing freezers and cupboards ( when I am on my couponing craze ) to we have nothing in the house and have to order out ( cause I am wiped out from all the food shopping I was doing)...

so I came up with plan "Q".... B was years ago...lol

I made a list of 44 meals ( 11 different meals repeated 4 times).... went on shoprite.com and placed a large shopping order to be delivered to my house... added all the heavy stuff I hate to lug ( cases of water... laundry detergent etc) also added tons of snacks etc....

Shoprite was offering free delivery all I had to pay was 19.95 order fee.... well worth it for my $420 order...

now that my house will be stocked with food.... I can now concentrate on buying the loss leaders with my coupons and keeping my stock replenished... cheaply...... boy I hope this works!!

not nosey at ...
they are just easy pantry / freezer meals to get us started.... but stuff my family will eat...

I don;t have my list with me... but I will see what I remember.... we are trying to watch our cholesterol and fat so we have a lot of ground turkey instead of ground beef...

1) pulled BBQ chicken sandwiches... baked beans... coleslaw
2) BBQ turkey meatballs.... whole grain rice...veggies
3) bean and cheese quesadillas.. mexi rice....corn
4) grilled cheese and lentil soup
5) turkey nachos nite
6) penne with vodka sauce, salad and veggie
7) turkey meatballs strauganoff with whole wheat pasta and veggie

Can't remember the rest.....

these sound good - I should mix a couple in to my boring stuff....quesadillas are a good idea.

Looked into shoprite, appears to be east coast thing, not out here w/ Dorothy and Toto
