I know that Halloween Horror Nights is very popular but wow! I am trying to get a room at a Universal Hotel for one night in October and the only hotel available is Royal Pacific. I am thinking I should probably go ahead and book it!

It is booked!
:cool1:

Congrats!!! Have a great time! I think you'll love RPR, I know I did!

I hope the parks aren't too crazy since the hotels are all booked!
One HUGE (and I mean HUGE!) advantage for you - if the parks are slammed - is the fact that you get to bypass the lines with your room key. This is the best perk ever IMO!

the parks are usually not overly crowded in October. Last year our max wait time with FOTL was about 10 mins. (dueling dragons)

If you are going to attend HHN this year, keep an eye out for the discount/information threads on the dis, starting about Jun/July. :)

When date did you want in October? I just checked the dates I want at the HRH, 10-24 to 10-26 and it was available. Just curious as to what your date was that you wanted??

I booked the HRH king suite with a connection std queen rm for 10-10 thru 13th got a AAA rate for 260 so i could upgrade to the suite for free and the std room was 260. I think i can do better on that std room later on but i wanted to go ahead and get my room secured and connected so we are all set it's my dd 16th b-day!

I'm really (and I mean really) wanting the Portofino for two nights October 17 & 18 and keep calling, but no availability (they say they don't have two-night stays available). So, I'm trying to decide if I want to book at another onsite hotel (neither of which really interest me), or save the money and book a partner hotel. We're switching to Disney on Sunday for a week there. This will be DS9's first visit to Universal, and I know the front line pass would be great, but just not sure if I'd rather save the money. Any thoughts?

Stay on site. Just keep calling. Weekends in October are tough though.

Thanks for responding, Damo. Am leaning towards staying onsite, even though I can't get the one I want. Also considering flying in the evening prior to when originally thought, and if so, that opens up the Portofino for three nights. It's only money!! Just have to convince DH of that:wizard:

Damo: Silly question, and I could just look it up myself, but is Harry Potter now at Universal? I've been away from these boards for awhile, but with the upcoming trip am getting back into the swing of things.

Harry isn't 'due' till 2009...or early 2010

Thank you!! From what I'm reading, my DS9 is going to love Universal, so planning another trip to see Harry won't be a problem!
