Trying To Figure Out Transport To Port Canaveral

I just booked a room at the airport - thanks for all of this information!

Do you need to contact the hotel or Disney ahead of time to arrange for transportation (like you do for Magical Express at DisneyWorld)? Or do you just do it when you arrive at the airport/hotel?

Thank you everybody for the advice on the Regency! This small town, West Coast girl still has a lot of work to do! :)

Can I chime in here and ask a question about the Hyatt - I'm looking for our cruise next spring (I realize LOTS of time to book a hotel), but the Hyatt seems super spendy to me for one night. It's coming up in the $250-$289 range depending on room type, plus taxes/fees. I think I am spoiled and am not used to spending that much on hotels.
We just used a fly, sleep, cruise package through www.goportcanaveral.com. It was about $500 total for the 8 of us but included 2 rooms, shuttle from airport, shuttle to port in morning, and shuttle from port back to airport. They had cheaper hotel options on the list but we wanted to stay at a nicer one. It would have been over $500 for just dcl transport alone if we did that option.
