Trying to do a DCL and more plan

Oops. The title should be DLC and more plan.

We are considering a trip to California in early June 2010. DH has decided this is what we should do:

Disneyland - 1 day
Universal - 1 day
Legoland - 1 day (DS who will be 14 at the time really wants to go there)
Manns Chinese Theatre and stars on sidewalks plus anything else he wants in the area - 1 day


I disagree. I think we need:

Disneyland - 3 days
Universal - 1 day
Legoland - 1 day
Skip the whole Chinese theatre thingy since we were there before we had kids and I was bored to death. I know the kids would be bored. He goes to California once every couple of years to see a friend and could do this himself at that point.
He's also been to Disneyland before with his friend but the rest of us have never been.

Add - a sidetrip to San Diego for the Zoo which I know the kids would love and we enjoyed so many years ago. DH doesn't like SeaWorld so I know he won't go for that.

So - what's your opinions?

We've got plenty of time to decide. It will be DH, myself, DD who will be 10 then, and DS who will be 14 then.

I agree with you. You uneed one morning to storm east and do important rides then another day to storm west and pick up the other big rides. On a slow day you can see the park in one day but it is better for 2 days for DLR. DCA is one day.

I think your 14 year old will be bored at Legoland - it's really geared more for the 10 and under crowd.

Definitely you want more than one day at Disneyland!!! Even with three days you won't get to see/do everything, but it'll be a lot better than one day.

And since you think the kids would really enjoy the San Diego Zoo, you should go for that. I think the Zoo is great, but I live in San Diego, so I'm biased.
