I am trying to decide if I can afford a FTW. I can't tell you how bad I want one though. It is a matter of convincing my dad, and "the man". I am bringing my Prince Charming to WDW in a few weeks for his first time, and he sat through Disney on Ice with me last night. He says he enjoyed it.

Any ideas on cost? (I am thinking maybe Intimate). And, any ideas on how to convince the men in my life?

hi, i'm having a n intimate add-odd which is you have to have proof of a minof 4 night stay on property and then add the wedding to that. the cost of an add-on for an out door ceremony is $2,100.

We had an intimate add-on at Sunset Pointe and it was $2300. We added additional floral for $400, DPS $225, white chocolate castle cake topper $125 and $75 for delivery, I did Disney Cosmo for myself and my MOH for $140(she just did make-up), and we also did a Welcome party at Epcot the night before the wedding. We stayed at the AKL on an awesome AP rate. We did do some extras and we made welcome bags for all of our guests. We were also charged $200 for 2 extra guests. We also ordered some extra sparkling cider for the guests not want champagne. So the total we spent on the Intimate add-on was right under $3600. Even though we went with the intimate we did have some flexibility to really personalize our big day. We were very impressed with FTW and felt we made the right decision to go with the intimate package.

Melissa,

How did you book that package because I was quoted $3,507 for 4 nights or $4,223 for 7 nights. (through Gloria at FTW) $2,300 is more in my price range.

Thanks

Lori

Lori,

The price that I quoted was for an add-on. That means that we had proved to FTW that we had a min stay of at least 4 days. John and I stayed at AKL for $1200 for seven nights. I had purchased an annual pass($540) and John's seven day pass was $365. When you add in the spending money the airfare, tuxes, rings, dresses(my dress, accessories, and 2 flower girl dresses with accessories), welcome bags, Welcome Party at Epcot, tips and gifts, paying for his dads stay and tickets, Marriage licence, transfers, whew!, everything it came right under $10000. The way we justified it was we wanted a very special meaningful time, and we honeymooned at Disney and we knew this was a once of a lifetime event, we sucked it up and did it. We also payed for it in bits and pieces. It is kinda of scary seeing how much, but at the time of planning we weren't looking at as a whole.
What you were quoted was the wedding, the stay(rack rate), and length of stay passes. I believe Merandab4 did the whole package and she could give you more insight as far as packages go. I hope that this helps you!
