Two adults (me and wife), staying in the new Disneyland Hotel DVC tower. Will be there Saturday 10/7 to Wednesday 10/11(Yes we realize October will be crowded). Park days will be Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. We’ve been to WDW over 20 times but have not been to DL since 1998 when DCA was under construction. We usually get the park hopper at WDW because we stay at the Boardwalk Villas and like to go to EPCOT most evenings.

These are the options we’re considering:

3 Day, 1 park per day
3 Day Park Hopper
2 Day, 1 park per day, Oogie Boogie Bash
2 Day Park Hopper, Oogie Boogie Bash

All opinions greatly appreciated!!

How exciting! I agree with PPs, it will be busy so park hoppers will help a lot with flexibility. I also agree that OBB is super fun, so I'd opt for 2 day park hoppers and OBB. You can do a leisurely morning of the OBB day and maybe get some time by the pool.

2 day park hopper and OBB! OBB is usually on Tuesday-Thursday-Sunday so I agree on the end your trip with it. Sleep in that morning, enjoy the hotel amenities and then party it up!

We go this holiday weekend every year because that is the only time our kids are off school. If you aren’t needing to go that particular weekend, I would avoid it and go ANY other weekend in October. That weekend is absolutely nuts with crowds. Either way, I would do the 2 day PH with OBB (but would argue for a 3 day PH with OBB if the budget allows!).

We went Columbus Day weekend.... Once.
Never again.

Plan accordingly for the crowds you will encounter.

Thank you for all your replies. Unfortunately this is the only time we have to get to DL. We’re squeezing it in before a visit to my sister up in SF. We realize it will be crowded but we’re the type that are pretty happy with whatever we can fit in. We’ll rope drop and have Genie+ as part of our tickets so we should get to squeeze in a few rides!! We‘ve been to WDW over 20 times and have dealt with crowds there and survived. Although based on comments on this forum, we‘re anticipating DL to be more crowded so we’ll make the best of it.

Right now we’re leaning towards the 2 day park hopper and OBB. Our park pass days will be Sunday and Monday and OBB on Tuesday.
