Trying to decide when to buy...

I plan to buy into BLT (as an add on) but had a couple questions. I've heard they will increase prices, any idea when? I seem to remember thinking I needed to buy in before end of year (so in the next couple of days), is that right?

Also, any idea when it will open? I hope to be taking my first BLT trip early Sept. 2009, and didn't know if there is any chance it will be open by then.

While someone might be able to better elaborate on your second question, I usually tell people that if they are financially set to buy in, then do so as soon as you feel comfortable with doing so. T

Sure, there may be different incentives to buying now, and those incentives can and do change often. But from my own personal experience my only regret was to not buy in sooner.

Ive been out of the loop recently due to work reasons, so I am not sure if prices will go up at the end of the year.

DVC has not made any announcement about a price increase for BLT. On January 15, the price for AKV will increase to $112 just like the BLT price. On January 15, 2009 the minimum add-on for BLT will increase to 100 points - so if you want to add on fewer than 100 it would be wise to act in the next 2 weeks.

BLT opens on September 1, 2009. BLT owners can begin making reservations on March 1, 2009 and other owners can reserve starting March 15, 2009. The 11/7 reservation priorities will apply to BLT as of those dates.

We bought AKV when it was first went on sale. Our Guide told us that we were getting the best deal to be offered. A couple of months latter they offered double Developer points.

You just never know.
