Trying to decide to Dubrovnik or Mykonos in June 2022

The quote I got yesterday from this board was $19,696 for Cat 5A with 2A and 15 yr and 10 yr
I ended paying $20,078.

so...$500 ish for 4...

We did a 17 night trip starting in Venice for two nights, then driving through Croatia visiting Plitvice, Dubrovnik, Mostar (Bosnia- Herzegovina) Montenegro and back up through Slovenia. It was amazing. If you can do a driving trip instead of a cruise with a port stop, you will enjoy it more. Less crowds, more to see. Driving there is super simple. And Slovenia is just so amazing!

The owner of the apartment where we stayed in Dubrovnik said she didn’t feel anyone ever really got a good glimpse of Dubrovnik by cruise because of the numbers of people that come in to a very small area. We enjoyed Dubrovnik a lot though.

I haven’t been to Greece but I believe from what friends told me that it is more cruise friendly.

Tough decision either way.

This is the way my husband wants to do it. We chose the other itinerary since it would be harder to do on our own, but at some point, we want to do something similar to your trip.

You’ll love it whenever you do it! I would even do it all exactly the same in a heartbeat.....but maybe stay even longer!

GoT *was* filmed in Dubrovnik, but there are now several GoT spin-off in the works. It's certainly possible that the film crew could return to Dubrovnik for new scenes of King Landing. Wouldn't it be great if you happened to be in Dubrovnik while they were filming something?

I can't imagine that they'd film during the height of summer heat and tourist season, but yes, that would be an AWESOME coincidence for this GoT fan.

I actually know of someone who got off a cruise ship in Dubrovnik several years ago, and found a crew filming GoT. It's not impossible, but you'd have to be extremely lucky!

I've actually been debating between a few of the Greek cruises, so this thread has been very helpful! In case it matters at all, one thing I noticed today is the June 27 cruise has a longer stop-over in Santorini (8am-8pm) while the June 18 cruise is only there from 8am-4:45pm. Santorini is one of the highlights for my family on these cruises so we're weighing that as well.

Great observation. Thanks! I chose the June 18 itinerary because of the dates, but more time in Santorini certainly sounds like a good feature.

I'd love to visit Santorini, but I would probably be disappointed about it being overrun by tourist.

For the serious visitor, I think it would be best to stay a couple nights on the island and venture out either early or after all the tourist have left.
