trying to decide on a pkg

we've got a reservation for a moderate resort. still trying to decide how many days of magic plus park hopper to add. unsure if we want the water parks option since our tots are 5 and almost 3yo. of course the longer the tickets the cheaper the ticket rate, but we will only be staying 5-6 days.

Is it worth it to buy the 7 day park hopper AND get the NO EXP? These tickets NEVER EVER EXPIRE? Of course once DS turns 3 we will have to purchase him a ticket at then current rates for the amt of whatever we have left on our 3 tickets? What happense if you lose your NEVER EXP ticket? Can it be replaced? Fee? How much is the NO EXP option? Again, is it worth it?

Also, if you have any info about the waterparks for tots this age (not swimmers, but enjoy the trough type exiting slides and sprayer climbing equipment) is this option worthwhile? Don't the resorts have pools with slides?

What other options for tickets are good for tots this age?

oh oh oh...dh is talking to me as i surf these pages...

can you add the no exp option WHILE you are there using your tickets?

we are trying to decide if we want this option if the weather is uncooperative - use the tickets for another trip if we can't goto a particular park one day. does it matter whether you visit one or all parks in one day with the park hopper? i know if it rains, you CAN visit MGM or Epcot.

Okay, can you tell how confused and overwhelmed I am planning this?

Does meal plan figure into this at all? or is that separate - flat rate per #days?

If you purchase a pass with no expiration, then the ticket never expires. Never.

It's a smart move to photocopy the reverse side of your park passes. The information on the back of the pass can be used by Guest Relations to replace the missing pass at no cost to you. I keep one extra copy in my room safe and one at home with whoever is housesitting. If both my passes and the photocopy are lost in transit, my at-home contact can always fax me their copy.

The no-expiration option varies in cost based upon the number of days on the pass. "No Expiration" added to a 7-day pass will cost $58.58 (with tax) regardless of whether it is a child's ticket or an adult's. The 10-day "No Expiration" addon is nearly double that amount at $106.50. If you decide that you would like to add the "No Expiration" option to your passes once you have begun using them, you can do so as long as you do it before the 14th day following their first day of use. You will pay the "No Expiration" option price for however many days were originally on the ticket, not the number of remaining days.

With the "Hopper" option, you can jump between parks in a single day and use only one day off of your pass. If you do not purchase the "Hopper" option, you will only be able to visit one park on any given day. You will not be able to use another park day off of your pass to visit a second park in the same day.

My feelings about the waterparks are that they are more geared towards the older children. If you're staying at a moderate or deluxe resort, you will have a slide in the main pool but not the quiet pools. The value resorts do not have pool slides. At the ages of 5 and 3, your children would probably like the resort pool almost as much as the waterparks.

The calculator that you see on the MouseSavers website was designed for the new Magic Your Way passes, which were introduced on Jan. 2, 2005. It is very current. The calculator does not factor in the cost of the meal plan. It only addresses ticket options. The meal plan must be purchased as a part of a vacation package (room + tickets + meal plan). The cost is $35/night for each adult (in Disney-speak that is anyone ages 10 and up) and $10/ night for each child (ages 3-9). Everyone on the room must be on the meal plan and it must be purchased for each night of your stay.

I am clueless about the new ticket packages, I'm lurking to learn...but as far as the water parks with a 5 and nearly 3 I know about. We were there in May 2004 with DS's 5 and nearly 3( three weeks out) We loved Typhoon Lagoon. They have an area called catch a kiddee creek. It's great! Padded and very wet, just the way they like it. There is also a kid dedicated area adjacent to the main wave pool. This area has a nice kid friendly slide and a barrier to the main wave area.

We went there twice over our week, the kids would have loved to have gone every afternoon! We didn't bother going to Blizzard beach due to their age. We will visit both in May 2006 when they are 7 and nearly 5....
