for our trip later this year. Anyone have any suggestions besides Yak & Yeki? Looking for somewhere for a nice quiet dinner. Was leaning towards Nine Dragons or Toyko Dining? Haven't tried Nine Dragons in years. Has it improved any? BTW, we're not fans of sushi. Anything good outside of the parks?

Both are good. Kimono's has better sushi, and is quieter earlier (though it revs up later when karaoke begins at 9-9:30).

Definitely try Morimoto's in Disney Springs!
I wouldn't call that a "nice, quiet dinner." But then again, "quiet" is not something that one is going to find at 90% of the restaurants on property. As noted above, if you are looking for sushi, Kimono's is the place to go for relative quiet...until the karaoke starts.

Since you don't like sushi, I would recommend Tokyo Dining if you would like to eat in EP or Morimoto Asia in DS. Nine Dragons is not good at all.

I agree with the PPs. Put 9 Dragons at the bottom of your list. You'll have had better Chinese food at home for half the price. We enjoy Tokyo Dining. Morimotos has the name, but so far I haven't been blown away by the reviews. So, temper your expectations. Even though you can get a decent meal, don't expect to be awed by any of these.

I would personally stick with Yak & Yeti. Nine Dragons is below average at above average prices. We have eaten there once or twice, but only because you really never need a reservation. In Disney, that is saying something.

Nine Dragons is horrid. Some of the worst food I have eaten-anywhere. Yak & Yeti is head and shoulders above it. Teppan Edo has typical hibachi-we enjoy it but it is not quiet. As PP have said, finding a quiet Disney restaurant is a bit like finding a four leaf clover-they do exist, buy they are very rare-LOL.

I am going the opposite direction here from others. We love Nine Dragons, but with that being said, we specifically love the Honey Sesame Chicken. We have some so so Chinese eats in our hometown, and I know a lot of folks compare ND too what they can get back home, but back home might be a heavily populated area like NYC! Its funny, we went yrs ago to the Japanese place at Epcot where they cook food in front of you on a grill. We were comparing to a place we have been going in NC since they opened in 1987, and the WDW place didnt come close to comparison in taste to our place back home, and the price was twice as much! Dont get me wrong, I will pay for inflated prices at WDW if the meals are good. So we refuse to go back. So it happens to all of us. I just hate to see ND get such a bad rap all the time.

While Yak & Yeti is my first choice, do check out the updated menu for Tokyo Dining at either allears or the Disney dining site. I love the tempura there and the Roppongi (tempura shrimp and scallops) is my go to entree. Ask to be seated at a window table for a gorgeous view of the lagoon and possibly to catch the drum show.
