We are doing the 4 day Pin Trading Cruise in November. My family and I can't decide which one we want to do! All of us could go either way, which is so bizzar that noone has a definite opinion. We have the REAS book with all ressie made. Our couples message is on Monday in the afternoon, which is what I wanted. And of course the Princess session is that morning also, which my dd could go to. On the other hand, we could do the snorkling excursion that morning in Nassau, which sounds like fun and we would probably enjoy alot! I don't want to spend the money and/or the time for both, I think that would be too much. But we can't decide which way to go. I am driving myself crazy trying to decide and just want to make a decision. Please help!!!

This is just me personally, and I can tell you travelling is new to me, as I have only left my state of Maryland once in the last 10 years (last year to do WDW and wonder 4 day)...

That being said... there is no way I would pass up on the chance to visit a new place, particlularly Nassau, Bahamas, etc. to do things that I could do at home (like get a massage, etc)...

I KNOW this will spark a debate, I'm sure, and I don't intend to hurt any feelings or anything, it's just my humble opinion, which is what you asked for...

Either way, enjoy your cruise!!!!

Having been to Nassau I would say go for the REAS package. Nassau was, IMO, not worth getting off the boat for. I'm sure others will disagree, but if I ever cruise to Nassau again I will be staying onboard.

Have fun...whatever you choose to do.

I have to agree with Michelemouse. If I ever go to Nassau again I'll be staying on the ship. JMHO

Count me as another passenger who sees no need to get off the ship at Nassau. I don't need my hair braided, thank you very much ;) I'm just not that into the duty free shopping and having grown up in Florida, the beach day at Castaway Cay is plenty for me. You can get a cab over to Atlantis if you want to do the Dig aquarium exhibit (which was neat) and doing it on your own will cost you less anyway. Some of the Castaway Cay excursions do look neat, but I haven't done any due to the cost of them.

I think it really depends on what you're looking to get out of the cruise. If you want fun, excitement, and new experiences, go for the excursions. But if you're looking to unwind, relax, and let some of the normal-life stress melt away, stick with REAS.

I agree about Nassau, but if you have never snorkled in crystal clear waters that is something you need to do!

I agree about Nassau, but I think you should take the snorkel excursion. Experiencing new things is one of the best parts of the trip.

I vote for getting off in nassau. Unless you have already been there you will kick yourself when you get home. Imagine traveling all that way and not getting off in a different country. Of course I love to experience new things and feel like I can get a massage at home. :)

I plan on getting off at Nassau ... but I'll do the snorkeling at Castaway Cay ... as for REAS, I scheduled our spa appt & Palo's ressie for the day we're at sea (so I didn't have to pick between staying on the ship or going onshore). :teeth:
