Trying to choose Loop 2200 or 2300

So with the good news of dogs being allowed in cabins, we immediately booked to stay in a cabin for the first time. We always stayed in a motorhome, but no longer have one. So since I am not familiar with the cabins I need some information please. When I booked, they said they were limiting them to 2200 and 2300 loop. So my questions are:

Is that what everyone else has heard or are they still figuring this out?

If so, out of those loops, which one is better to request. I would like to be in more of a quiet one in traffic because I know my DH will want to play with him remote control cars. And should we request at end of loops or better to be in the middle of the loop?

do any of the cabins back up to water to fish?

We will have golf carts to drive around so it might be as important to be close to bus stops.

Does anybody know where I might be able to rent a dogs crate, not sure if I have room to carry a big crate, wishing Disney will start to do that.

And are the all renovated now or are they still refurbishing the cabins?

Thanks for any help.

So 2200 is on the inside, 2300 has some canal access. Both loops are small enough, doesn't matter where. Bus stop is right out front, just a short walk. Purple bus will take you to Outpost to catch park buses, or to the settlement to catch a boat to MK. Golf carts are pretty much a waste IMO unless you are spending a lot of time in the Fort. We have done three trips and rented on for one day just to tour the Fort. And as far as quiet, you never know how traffic will be in a loop, all depends on who is in the loops, their plans, etc. Our last trip in Sept, our loop, 1100 was very quiet almost the whole trip.

To add on to what PaHunter said,

I don't think there's a dime worth of difference between 2200 and 2300 loops for the most part. They both are served by the same internal bus stop. Also cabin loops are one-way so traffic coming and leaving has to go all the way around so for playing with RC cars, the traffic will be the same regardless of location.

The cabins have all gone through refurbishment so that work is all done. What time of year are you coming, goofyrabbit?

Thanks for quick responses..We will be there first week of January so I figured it might be busy for Holidays but was hoping that it gets quieter after the New Years....We usually get a golf cart because we go to Trails end and boat for MK often so I just like the convenience but we rented from Tee Time so price is better.

So when you say Canal access in 2300 loop, do you know if there are some cabins that the canal is their back yard? And if so, then since you say there small loop is there only 1 or 2 cabins that have that access?

I'm in the 2700 loop right now, and there is a dog in the cabin next door. I'm not sure the dog cabin loops are written in stone.

Wow, then I think I need to call them again...thank you....How do you like loop 2700, any downsides?
