I'm booked at POR for 5/24-6/1. However, I'm from the south and would therefore prefer Coronado Springs (not to mention I've stayed at POR before) and its been booked since I first started resort shopping. I do not want Carribean b/c they have double beds, and there are 4 of us (including 2 kids 10 & 13).

Any suggestions??

I just tried a reservation at CSR- you're right, under the current special offer there is no availability. However at rack rate there is. So I guess it will depend on just how badly you want to stay there.

I would keep checking as CSR might become available later on. I have had luck adding nights to a reservation that was booked under a promo when those nights weren't available at the beginning, so it is possible even though it's not available now. Good luck.

Not sure what room type/view you wanted, but I just checked the website and I put in 5/24-6/3 and a standard view at CSR came up under the spring room only offer. I don't know why, but sometimes adding nights to what you actually want shows different availability. You can book those dates and then call back and drop the last 2 nights that you don't need :).

Why is it if I extend my stay by a few days, I can get Coronado Springs? If I change my ressie to reflect this hotel, and then cancel the ending days I do not need, do you think I risk loosing my ressie? Why would it be available for my dates plus 2 add on days but not just the days I want??

Plz help!

Because this "new" and "improved":lmao: website is really goofy. Although most likely it's because WDW tries their hardest to be at full capacity all the time. If they make you think the only way you're going to get a room at xxx resort is to extend your stay 2 days instead of having a room nobody wants to book for only 2 days, they're ahead of the game.

Nope. People do this ALL the time. We have had to do it 3 times now with zero issues. I just take it as part of the process now.

Why would it be available for my dates plus 2 add on days but not just the days I want?

Please see answer to your first question.:rotfl2::cool1:

Thank you very much for your answers!!!

Please note ... when your from south Louisiana you really don't want a resort like what you see all the time. I have stayed at POR before and it was very nice; however I want to try new!!

It is very strange that there would be availability for more nights, but this happens alot. Like the pp said, I think Disney thinks if you book those extra nights you won't cancel any of them and just take the longer trip. If the extra nights are still available under the promo, the CM should be able to add those nights to your current reservation. Then, once you get confirmation for that length of stay, call back and cancel the nights you don't need. You will not lose your reservation, people do this all the time. Good luck :).
