I am trying to book a trip for 2 adults 1 child on Airtrans through kayak.com. No matter which site I go to the reservation information comes up for 3 adults. How do I change this to a child. My son does not have a photo ID for boarding--not sure what to do here. Any help appreciated.

Just trust the website. Your son may be a child chronologically, but to the airline he's an adult. Actually, to the airline, the three of you are all 'just plain' passengers.

Airlines that offer child fares generally do not make those the lowest prices. If they exist, they're discounted off the full fare - something most passengers (especially us frugal ones ;)) don't pay if at all possible.

Under 18, your son will not need identification.

Kaytieeldr,

Thanks for the info. I have only booked online one other time and then I was instructed to click for child or adult. I guess I was just worried that we would arrive and they would refuse my son's boarding because of an error in reservation.

Once again, thanks!
