With DS- 6 + DD-2 in an attempt to avoid the burgers and fried food traps, not because we are health nuts. Butt looking for something more along the lines of regular home cooked food for both lunches and dinnertime. Please give me your expertise & suggestions.
Thanks,
Chris

Dinners may be easier than lunches, unless you want a TS lunch.

Ok for dinner how about -

Liberty Tree Tavern in MK
50's Prime Time Cafe in MGM
Epcot any restaurant in World Showcase, depending on what style of food you prefer! Perhaps Rose and Crown in the UK?
Yacht Club Galley at the YC
Whispering Canyon Cafe at WL

Off to think about CS!

We were able to find salads, and chicken, at most counter service places. Deb's All Ears website has updated menus of all the offerings at WDW.

I thougth Seasons in the Land at Epcot had a decent CS meal.

Cosmic Rays in MK has numerous windows with many choices. If you are on DDP, the chicken and rib plate is awesome!!! Enough for 2 or 3 to share. They also have a soup and sandwich window.

Sunshine Seasons in EC also has nice offerings.

Yes...there are definitely more choices than a burger/fries at just about every counter-service restaurant now. I think you will be pleasantly surprised!

You can easily avoid burgers and fries at CS. If you do order an item with fries at a CS, you can usually substitute a package of baby carrots for the fries.
As others mentioned, Columbia Harbor House and Cosmic Ray's have good choices at MK. I recently tried the vegetarian chili at Columbia Harbor House and it was wonderful.
All resorts have alternate choices. Epcot has many different choices in Future World and World Showcase. Tusker House, Flame Tree Barbeque or Pizzafari are good choices at AK. We usually do not eat CS at MGM for some reason. However, there are probably many choices in the area near TOT. We have eaten at the pizza restaurant near the Muppet theater and it was fine.

In MK:
Cinderella's Royal Table
Tony's
LTT
Epcot:
Almost any of the countries some of our favorites are:

Tusker House
These are some of our favorites! I hope this helps! Good luck!

Seasons in the Land at EPCOT for Counter service and Whispering Canyon Cafe
at the WL for table service. :thumbsup2

I am glad that someone mentioned the Galley Restaurant at the Yacht Club.. we have always had very nice casual meals there... but do make an ADR for this restaurant as they are not always welcoming to walk-ups...
