Preordering Grocerys for our short stay in 12 days... I figured that would solve our breakfast delemia (but makes me cook all be it froot loops and waffles, it's still cooking!!! boo cooking) Anyway I digress..

Our plan on arrival night is to go straight to MGM, so our check in wont be until at least 9 at night.

When we check in, will bell services deliver it to our room or hand it to us, for us to take? Are they generally fairly prompt?

If they are out of butter will then send margerine instead?

Or should I let my husband check in (he never has) while I grab all the items we need

I'd give hubby the grocery list and check in myself.

How hard could the grocery shopping be if you use the list provided on the DVC members' website, LOL? If he's not back by the time you get the luggage to the room, you could meet him at the resort grocery to see what is taking so long!

The biggest downfall of doing it ourselves is all the extra things we would buy that we dont need

But I guess making a pit stop wouldn't hurt us all that bad... And the kids are getting $30.00 each as spending money so if they start to beg us for stuff I can say... well if you want to spend YOUR money on it, go for it

would check in first - you might get a better room that way - then just take the bus to studios.

would definitely let him check in you go grab what you want.

generally go to outsite grocery stores - they are just cheaper. there is both a Walmart and Publix not far at all.

For a NORMAL trip I would shop at a real store.. but our flight gets in at 430, MGM closes at 8. We MUST ride Rock n Roller Coaster and Star tours, then either see the Lights or Fantasmic...

And as far as a getting a bad room... Not really worried about it. I was very excited in October when we got the Dumpster view at VWL!!! (really, I was very excited... sad huh)

This is a very short spur of the moment trip that is jammed packed. And considering we have only spent 375 bucks out of pocket for the 5 of us to fly down, rental car, room, And MVMCP tickets, we can afford to pay a bit more for eggs at the resort. (although it kills me! lol)

I would ask the person you are renting from to send you the forms... or perhaps poke around the WDW site and see if it's there also...

First off...the DVC prices to us are very steep.

I would suggest having them delivered so you won't have to bother with shopping and wasting all of that precious Disney time

We have used Garden Grocer at least 4 times with great success. I love not having to drag myself or my family to the grocery because as you said; we always buy more than we went for. With GG, they have lists of virtually anything. If its not there, just make a note and they will find it for you (alcohol included! If they have had to substitute anything for us, they always checked with us ahead of time.

boy that is a wonderful rate - how did you do it? (pretty good about bargin hunting myself - but this definitely beats me)
