We leave tomorrow. We want to tour some of the resorts this trip. We are new DVC memebers as of last year. We can use our points at some of the resorts and want to spend some time checking them out. Does anyone have some suggestions of things that we might enjoy taling a look at?:Pinkbounc:Pinkbounc

They are all great to check out. Which one are you staying at this trip?

We love to have dinner at the different hotels, get there early walk around the grounds, stop in the gift shop and maybe have a drink at the bar. Some of the resorts like CSR, Poly & CR have really nice gift shops.

Take the Monorail tour of the 3 resorts around MK, Poly, GF & CR.

Resorts are also fun for pin trading, we love to go pin trading at the different resorts, in the gift shops, registration desk, food courts.

The only time I have had a problem going into a resort was Ft. Wilderness. The guard wouldn't let me in to go to there gift shop.

Have fun.

If you go to the Boardwalk you can check out two DVC resorts. The Boardwalk and The Beach Club. I've been a DVC member since 1999 and I've loved every year of my membership. It's the best investment I've ever made. If you can check them all out.

we are staying at BCV our first time. We are so excited. We wanted to check out AK lodge.

The AKL has many neat things to see while you're resort hopping.

Last winter, we had just moved to FL, and hadn't gotten our Seasonal APs yet. I made ADRs at Whispering Canyon Cafe, and we spent almost the whole day resort hopping and looking at the holiday decorations.

At AKL, you can go out to the pool area and see the animals on the savannah. They usually have CMs out there who will answer questions about the animals.

Their lobby is absolutely beautiful. Again, CMs are prevalent and can talk about some of the hidden features. They also have story times that anyone can listen to.

If you have the Hidden Mickey book (or print out the pages available online) you can go on a hidden Mickey hunt. Pick 2 or 3 resorts and just look for the hidden Mickeys'.

As DVC members, you are entitled to pool hop everywhere except Storm Along Bay (double check with guest services as this can be suspended at busy times). If you don't mind changing in the restrooms, try out the other resort pools.

Have a great time, and enjoy this different way to tour WDW.

We are hoping to have a little more down-time in our next trip & sure would like to use some of it to tour AKL, which can be a little out-of-the-way when you're trying to work in so many other things!
